Autarkic house including an entry security zone, an indoor tropical garden, an outdoor desert and a cooling water level, penetrated by circulation partly inside and partly outside the house. A three-step security room-filter sequence offers a calm and secure space inside.

`Kanzleramt´ Private House. *2020
The former German Federal Chancellor Ludwig Erhard, in his capacity as Minister of Economics, commissioned the residence as a symbol of the cosmopolitan and modern attitude of the Federal Republic of Germany. Transparency as political statement in 1966 by Sep Ruf.
This new house reflects the transparency that was once politically wanted and displayed, a planned PR symbol of German modern thinking. In reality, the lack of transparency consists of dense bushes and trees that surround most `transparent´ buildings. For this reason, we see the house as a political commentary that deals with feigned or fake transparency.
This is a simple house; all its elements are self-explanatory.
A solid and permanent ceiling with exposed technology can be easily adapted to future changes. Only seemingly random rocks support the roof and house private spaces. All other areas are open, connecting nature directly with the interior – which also extends the interior to the exterior by retracting all glass facades into the concrete rock garages.
A lush garden with wild grasses surrounds the modern and powerful house.

191 Transparent Solids.
Structures are free of predefined typologies. They are sustainable as permanent structures, suitable for all kinds of use, like offices, residentials, hotels or even parking. The building geometry is incorporating the `worst space scenario´ (greatest common denominator). We assume the old idea of a specific typology as an attack on future possibilities for change. Future architecture is sustainable, mainly because its structure is permanent.
Elevator shafts are able to be converted to gravity storage in specific scenarios of usage.

Private house as an non nostalgic hangar for total action. An open space floor of 50 x 15 meters, 7 meters high on first floor without any `architectural features´ but with merged FOH / BOH areas and a ground floor for all helpful compartments, creates a timeless structure to live and work in. Massive columns contain stair cases, air shafts and elevator.

Living in a shelf. Move, whenever you want, you buy m² – not a specific flat inside the shelf. You are free to switch between favorite apartments as you are free to switch between rental cars is a classical world (which is not this one, because cars do not exist in this compact castle build of fully autarcic elements.

ICC Den Haag. *2008
3km of offices are wrapped around five stacked court rooms. These offices are interwoven in a natural way so the complex internal organisation shortcuts are fulfilled. The court room offers panorama view to the sand dunes of The Hague.
The design of the ICC demonstrates the direct political impact on design. Similar to airports, which are defined by separation between landside and airside, the design of the criminal court in Den Haag is defined by separation between the accused and the potential victim´s circulation.
Underground fitness center for 24h shifts and a temporary jail with open air squash courts on L-3 for fire escape without escape of the accused. Victims relaxing roof garden, dune panorama and secret deal making space level.
Lavish and lush layout with 25% orangeries across the entire usable area of the court house.

Rethinking the linear city by Arturo Soria y Marta, 1882, and transforming this into a snake-like building. Its crossing functional layers compress the idea of the linear city into a single but stacked building. The buildings footprint is completely surrounded by untouched nature, instead of green-washing and fake sustainablity.

These low-tech villas made of one material stone walls, including an inner layer of rockwool made by the same stone, are considered as the first new Permanent Structures. Based on a BGS study, local rock resources of the Northern Emirates are available for construction in sandstone, limestone or travertin.
The curtain is made of digitally knitted and robotically woven fiber – it is one of the two elements in the need of some maintenance every 5th decade, as the terrace made of hardwood.
The well is a source of life and a man-made equivalent of an oasis. The cube is placed into a cool and shaded base on – 6.00m. A grotto generates a magic glow of indirect sunlight and a palm garden is trying to increase the local beauty of the adjacent and the already partly greened desert.
Dusty PVs are not envisaged due to the abundant PV area provided by DEWA and the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park. This project is a permanent low-tech structure. High-maintenace-high-tech / MEP would destroy this approach. Its a beauty even without being dusted due to its stone surfaces. We focus for low-tech and permanent design to be real sustainable for the future. MEP will be externally centralised, not unefficiently incorporated into every single private building.

Science Center for the city of Hamburg, Magdeburger Hafen. Developed for OMA, Rotterdam.
This gateway was designed to strengthen Hamburg’s science industry. It includes the largest scientific exhibition space on the top floor, a public balcony with event spaces visible to the city, and a real water surface inside, all arranged in a vertical circulation ring.
The science center was subsequently replaced by a shopping center.
Hamburg is a city of commerce.

A complex and moular building, fitting perfectly into a stupid master grid while stayng maximal diverse in organisation, layout and function. Parametric content leads to parametric building, still behave as being part of the griddy masterplan.

Car Swapping Station and Motel Towers, replacing gasoline stations on highways and parking garages in city areas. Drive your dirty car with empty battery into the tower, and switch to a new polished and fully charged and serviced car in 30 seconds. If a driver needs a break, he or she can stay at the high-rise motel.* 2017
Virtual showrooms on the ground floor simulate car development processes and visualize vehicle configurations and over-the-air updates that transform the used vehicles into modern versions of themselves while the owner / renter relaxes in the motel bistro. Autonomous driving and parking cars will follow and meet the user automatically after the break.
Car magazines were built since 1932 in Chicago. In this aspect it´s nothing new.

290m length. 50m high towers to reach the roof-level on 28m by elevators. Placed on nearly five-hundred 50m long vibrated and rammed piles inside Lac de Bienne, Switzerland. This is a temporary structure, to be rebuilt after three years to reproduce untouched nature of Lac de Bienne.
138 World´s First VF Bistro.
This is the world´s first direct production bistro which integrates vertical farming. It produces an average of 70 lettuces per day. Visitors consume the harvest directly, the transport route is shortened to 3m. * Realised 2016, Berlin.

Media Spree Start Up Offices. *2020
This workshop office is located directly beside the ICE railway line and welcomes Berlin travelers with a suitable rough `Hier Hauptstadt ´ (here capital of Germany) LED sign behind the facade mesh.
This semi-transparent aluminum mesh is almost completely transparent from the inside, but barely so from the outside. It acts as a veil to protect against the ugly Berlin context. In addition, the quality of light and visibility is protected from the constantly closed blinds that are typical of everyday office life.
091 Airport Offices.

After moving the runway into the underground onto level -6.00m, it becomes a cooling pool. Further, the water surface is reflecting sunlight indirectly onto the underground-office-ceilings. The office positioning is helping by using the cooling soil of White Sands underground temperatures. We keep existing and refurbished airport logistics, using as much as possible from this heritage desert beauty.
162 Hotel. New Princess Bed Size 140.
Hotel Refurbishment, Interior Design & New Bed Typology “Princess Size 140” for Hotel Classification. *2021-2024. Realised * 2023 – 2025.
A curved steel & glass facade with liftable facade elements is connecting the hotel with the public. Its high quality crafted interior of concrete and leather furniture, illuminated tables and a secret private bar is designed to survive for many decades without aging.
015 Shadow House.
House. * 2003
Hexagonal private house with a lake and mirror walls. The entrance tunnel dives through the lake into the multifunctional kitchen-space.
A bedroom is facing the moon-light illuminated underwater through a Plexiglass wall with integrated fish. Dreams become reality. This house tries to avoid standard family elements such as windows, doors and roofs and offers a unique and personal private space.

120.000m2 of residential lofts situated in a park. A clear set of solid standards are reducing investment costs while offering an highly complex 3d-assemby of impressive structures.
The project is based on wild grasses and lush greenery, the sun also shines on the `rear´ thanks to large openings. Contracted study by undisclosed Investors, Leipzig.

By redesigning powerful and motivating spaces for education from the ground up. All materials have no visible surface treatment; a patina of destruction should not look like a patina of destruction, but rather like the art of the contemporary youth. * 2015 – 2019
Parrots will scream into the classrooms to reconnect students with nature. A spacious orangery will be filled with lush nature. Tropical plants will be possible, and abundant sunlight will provide optimal growing conditions and improved air quality. This tropical piece of nature offers a new view from every single classroom. A restaurant is located in a hangar-like, grand ground floor and connects all students in a communication hall made of sustainable concrete and wood.

All levels offer identical volumes for all apartments. On lower levels the volume is calculated from narrow width x extra high ceilings. On higher floors the calculation of volume mainly consists of wider floors but lower ceilings.
154 A New Kind of Pharmalogical Laboratories.

The greatest developments in human history occurred by chance, not by design. This observation will serve as the basis for defining the requirements for laboratories of the future. Chance encounters and pseudo-random collaborations will be functionally enabled by appropriate sequencing of space and circulation.
Escape stairs curtain providing three functions: 1.meeting space & coffee kitchen = natural exchange between employees of each level (indoor and outdoor options) 2. horizontal sun protection without a need to block the view with vertical shades 3. escape stairs. Overscaled air shaft tubes are providing an abundant amunt of fresh air to allow all different lab-workshop use cases regarding air exchange rates / ACPH.
Drug development is a 1.2 trillion dollar industry. They did invest around 10 years of drug development for targets, not knowing if they are worth the effort, because just 1 to 10% of the targets hit the market. This building includes additional to the pseudo-random-meeting approach – an AI research basement to predict efficiency and toxidity of drug candidates, to shrink the ~ 90% failure rate.
138 AVUS Race Tribune update after 100 Years.
100 years AVUS tribune. To support the German Car Industry as 100 years before. Successful building application for protected structure. Altered later by questionable investors. * 2016. Realised.
It needs to be in German language, sorry: 1899. Als Kaiserlicher Automobil Club gegründet, zur Förderung des deutschen Kraftfahrzeugwesen, das im Vergleich zu Frankreich und England unterentwickelt war. Man hatte erkannt, daß Sporterfolge einer stärkeren Akzeptanz des KFZs dienen sowie den Absatz im In- und Ausland beleben konnten. Am 24. September 1921 wurde die Rennstrecke eröffnet und damit die Qualitätslücke zum französischen Strassenbau geschlossen. Zu dem Zeitpunkt gab rund 60.000 Automobile in Deutschland. Der Eintrittspreis für die Tribüne lag um 1922 bei 1.000 Mark, im Herbst 1923 bei 1.000.000 Mark, daher die Währungsreform um 1923.
Anlässlich der Olympischen Spiele 1936 verliefen sowohl der Marathonkurs als auch der Kurs des Straßen-Radrennens über die AVUS. Um die Rundengeschwindigkeiten zu erhöhen und um Platz für die heutige Halenseestraße zu gewinnen, wurde 1937 die alte Nordkurve durch eine überhöhte, 43,6° steile und aus Ziegelsteinen gemauerte Steilkurve mit einem wesentlich geringeren Durchmesser von 184m ersetzt, gleichzeitig wurde eine neue Tribünenanlage errichtet.
In ihrer Ehrenloge standen NS Größen, u.a. der Reichsminister für Volksaufklärung und Propaganda, Joseph Goebbels. Auf der Geraden wurde 380km/h gefahren. 300.000 Zuschauer sahen am 30.Mai 1937 bei Sonnenschein das erste Rennen auf dieser Steilkurve.

A private House in a field. *2024 / This is a challenging planning process, as we question the need to align the building with the dismal construction quality of neighbouring buildings in North Rhine-Westphalia. And in Germany, similarity is more important than quality. Work in Progress.
The material selection is based on scratch-resistant and raw surfaces without visible finishing. It consists of sustainable concrete, wood, glass, aluminum, steel, wool, and living nature.

An invisible bank building for an invisible bank family, which camouflages and blurs into the existing London City context, to something ephemeral like the Rothschild-family itself.
